Box Making Workshop
Beginner woodworking
There is a sense of excitement when you first open a new box. The anticipation of what secret lies beneath the lid.
In this course, you will experience the joy of box making. You will learn how to design and how to build your own unique and beautiful box using traditional techniques with traditional hand tools and using ethically sourced reclaimed timber.
Specifically, the course will provide you with an understanding of timber and tools as well as providing you with the skills to make two different styles of boxes (mitred and pinned). If time allows, you will also be shown how to make a third box, a simple bandsaw box.
You will walk away with two beautiful boxes you’ve built yourself, but also with a range of skills and knowledge that will leave you ready to tackle a range of projects of your own.
